IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act)

Requires all the states to follow the specific tenets laid out for special education funding.

The two plans have come about with a few accommodations regarding students with ADHD. Most of these accommodations and plans have been tested out over time and have proven to be effective in managing ADHD symptoms. They include:

● Allowing extra time on tests.

● Using positive feedback consistently.

● Allowing the students' multiple breaks to prevent boredom.

● Changing locations or moving the student to classes with minimal distractions.

● Showing a lot of patience and understanding and assisting with various tasks where possible.
